The Dental Surgeon
I was blessed to meet Dr Saisron Boossakorn in 2004 when she was 25 years old and had just started practising dentistry. Over the next two years, we became close friends. I subsequently assisted her indirectly with help (primarily construction) to start her own dental practice. She is an extremely intelligent perfectionist, a world-class dental surgeon who constantly maintains impeccable, professionally high standards.
It might be evident from the name what a dental surgeon does concerning dentistry; however, if you’re like most people, you probably don’t know what procedures are specifically involved. No worries, because in this article, we will list the specific dental procedures that can only be handled by a dental specialist.
The most common dental procedures involve the teeth’ roots and pulp. These include root canal, pulpotomy or opening the pulp chamber to drain an infection, pulpectomy or removing the pulp from a tooth’s pulp chamber. Another standard procedure related to the roots and pulp of the teeth is apicoectomy.
Sometimes, doing the procedures mentioned above is not enough for people with severe oral diseases. There are times when a dental surgeon needs to do a root-end resection, which involves removing the apex of a tooth and surgically removing the diseased material.
