My Family left Livingstone Zambia and moved to Foldvik, my father’s birthplace, a small village in Gratangen Municipality in Troms County located in the north of Norway, in May of 1997. I learnt Norwegian and got used to snow and skis and Norwegian culture.
In December 1977 we moved to the village of Storhilderen, Straume, in Fjell municipality on the island of Litle Sotra just 20km west of Bergen City, Hordaland County on the western coast of Norway. I attended schools in the vicinity and worked at the CCB (Coast Centre Base) on the island of Store Sotra.
Formative Years
In 1983-1984 I moved permanently to Bergen where I continued my main education until entering the Royal Norwegian Navy in March of 1987.
